Role Summary
As our Senior International People Operations Manager, you will play a key role in strengthening and scaling our global People & Culture operations during an exciting period of growth and transformation.
Your primary focus will be to lead the implementation and ongoing optimisation of our global HR systems landscape, with particular ownership of our Deel rollout and international employment operations. You will help ensure our people processes are compliant, efficient, and employee-centred, while supporting the establishment of our Dutch legal entity and future international growth.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys turning complexity into structure, improving processes, and building reliable systems that enable teams to thrive across borders.

Salary: depending on location and experience, e.g. €44,000 - 48,000 in Germany, zł 120,000 - 150,000 in Poland (full-time equivalent).
Location: Remote. We welcome candidates globally who hold permanent residency and can adhere to a working schedule that includes core collaboration hours of 10 am - 4 pm CET.
Responsibilities
International People Operations:
Own and continuously improve the day-to-day administration of our international employee lifecycle, ensuring a smooth and consistent experience for team members across countries, including:
Managing contracts, employee records, and employment documentation
Coordinating payroll preparation and related administrative processes
Supporting onboarding and offboarding activities
Acting as a key contact for employee queries and People Operations support
Maintaining accurate and compliant employee data and documentation
HR Systems & Process Excellence:
Lead the development of a scalable and efficient People Operations infrastructure through effective use of technology, automation, and process design, including:
Leading the implementation and continuous improvement of Deel across international entities
Owning and optimising our HR systems landscape in Deel (and Personio)
Managing relationships with external HR technology providers and partners
Identifying opportunities for automation, simplification, and operational efficiency
Developing scalable people processes that support a growing international organisation
Compliance & Organisational Growth:
Support the organisation's international growth by helping maintain compliant employment frameworks and robust operational foundations, including:
Supporting the People & Culture aspects of establishing and operating our Dutch legal entity
Coordinating with external legal and compliance partners where needed
Monitoring employment-related compliance requirements across relevant jurisdictions
Contributing to the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and employee handbooks
Supporting managers and stakeholders with people-related processes and guidance
Competencies
You bring extensive experience in People Operations, HR Generalist, or International HR roles.
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, International Relations, Business Law, or a degree in the humanities, social sciences, or psychology
You have hands-on experience working with HRIS, payroll, or global employment platforms, ideally including Deel and/or Personio.
You have experience working with international employment practices and labour law, particularly in Germany, the UK, or the Netherlands.
You enjoy improving processes, creating structure, and finding practical solutions to operational challenges.
You are comfortable managing projects and coordinating multiple priorities in a fast-paced international environment.
You work independently, take ownership of your responsibilities, and collaborate effectively across distributed teams.
You have excellent attention to detail and maintain a high standard of accuracy when handling employee data, contracts, and sensitive information.
You communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing.
You are comfortable working with technology and exploring new tools, including AI-enabled solutions, to improve efficiency and productivity.
You balance operational excellence with empathy and always consider the employee experience when designing processes and communications.
You build trust easily and maintain a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive people matters.
You are motivated by ProVeg's mission and are excited about contributing to a purpose-driven international organisation.
Preferred
You bring a strong background of working successfully within a fast-growing international entity, a distributed global team, or a professionalised NGO environment.
You speak German or Dutch at a professional level, giving you the linguistic confidence to interface directly with local European authorities, local legal advisors, and regional entity registries.
Experience with Dutch Works Councils (OR)
